Our summer vacation was about the Midwest and seeing/exploring new locations. When we were planning the road trip, the Lass and Nonna were in charge.
The Lass wanted, for who knows what reason, to go through Indianapolis. She did not want to go through Missouri. Nonna wanted to go through Missouri and see the Arch. The two compromised - we would do both.
"I don't know why Nonna wants to go to St. Louis. It is just a bridge!"
We tried to explain that the Arch is not just a bridge and that it isn't a bridge at all. But the Lass wasn't having any part of that discussion. In her mind she was making Nonna happy because she said we could go to this bridge in St Louis.
Guess who loved that bridge!!!
