Blink -
I am awake
The second night in a row I am awake after only a few hours sleep.
I close my eyes and flip on an audio book.
The clock chimes
I finish the book
The clock chimes
I start another
Eyes closed I can't relax enough to sleep
Finally, finally I drop off only to find the sun waking me moments later...
The sun,
A wonderful site despite my sleepless night.
Blue skies,
Bright sun,
And the purring cat...
Sleepless night or not, it promises to be a delightful day
