On Writing (SOL 3) 9:59 PM

White
Blank white space
What to write
I sit, staring at the blank white space as if an idea will pop out of thin air, as if my fingers will suddenly start tapping keys and text will appear
I start typing
I select all and remove everything written
Again the screen is blank - clean white space
Again I begin typing - same idea different angle, different words
Words turn into sentences
Sentences into paragraphs
An idea is developed
A draft to be revised and edited later.
Time to move to the next task

Oh, how many times have I stared down the blank white page?! Sometimes I defeat it, but I often lose. Like you, I always come back later.
