"I was the only one who jumped off the slide today."
"Really" I didn't think too much about this as I imagined that they were jumping puddles at the end of the slide.
"Yes, it was higher than me."
"You were jumping from the top of the slide?"
"Yes"
There are some days when it is difficult not to be a very protective parent!
"I should have raised you around dogs. "
"Why?"
"They are always on the ground. They do not jump on to the top of 6 foot walls and shelves and then jump down. They don't climb screens. They are always close to the floor."
"It wouldn't have mattered if we would have had dogs."
"Why?"
"Because this is the way God wants me to be."
I couldn't argue with that.
