"Model year close out. What does that mean?"
"It means that they are no longer making cars from a specific year and are trying to sell them to make room for the next year's models."
"What? There is a 2005 model."
"That was used (previously owned) so they try to sell older cars as well."
I can see that she gets it but she doesn't.
"You are a 1999 model. One of the last of your kind. They are not making any more models like you."
And she may or may not get it. That was the end of the conversation.
